First Single (ver 4) by Format

The First Single
by The Format
Chorded out by Joe G

This is chorded in a different key than other posts, using a capo on 2 as I have trouble
a good "B". This also allows more open chords for a nice loud sound. It also shows
chords through the entire song, as the bridge and last chorus are a little different.
is chords though, *not tab*, so play the intro however sounds good to you. Good luck!

Capo on 2! Otherwise translate everything a full step up.

Intro Drums, then:
Bm Bm G D

Bm G D
I can't stand to think about a heart so big it hurts like hell
Bm G D
Oh my God, I gave my best, but for three whole years to end like this
     Bm G D Bm
       D
Well do you want to fall apart? I can't stop if you cant start
Bm G D Bm
Do you want to fall apart? Oh, I could if you can
       Bm G
try to fix what I've undone
                          D
'Cause I hate what I've become!

D A
You know me, or you think you do, you just don't seem to see
G Bm A
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define
         D A G
So let's cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet, or something,
                          Bm A Bm
 G D
Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me

Bm G D
I could stand to do without, all the people I have left behind
Bm G
What's the point in going around when it's a straight line baby,
  D
A straight line down
         Bm G D Bm
 G D
So let's make a list of who we need, it's not much if anything
Bm G D Bm
Let's make a list of who we need and we'll throw it away
          A G D
'Cause we don't need anyone, no we don't need anyone!

D A
You know me, or you think you do you just don't seem to see
G Bm A
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define
         D A G
So let's cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet or something,
                          Bm A G
Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me
                       D A G
And I hate what I've become.

             D [no chord]
You know the night life is just not for me
               A G
'Cause all you really need are a few good friends
              D Bm
Don't want to go out and be on my own,
              G D
You know they started something I can't stand
          Bm D
You leave for the city,
     G D
Well count me out
       A A
'Cause all this time is wasted on, well, everything I've done!

D A
You know me, or you think you do, you just don't seem to see
G Bm A
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define
         D A G
So let's cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet, or something!
                          Bm A D
Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me

D A
You know me, or you think you do, you just don't seem to see
G Bm A
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define
         D A G
So let's cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet, or something!
                          Bm A Bm A
Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me, yeah.
     G
Over me, yeah
     D
Over me
